In line with Abdulrahman Kanoo International Schools (ARKIS) new Strategic Plan, the school announces its reshaped Parent Teacher Association. Seen as another layer of communication for parents to help build closer relations between parents, school and the wider community the nomination process was peer led. Candidates wanting to apply were endorsed by other parents, totalling just over 40 applications.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2021 ARKIS PTA” noted Vice Principal of Internal/External Relations- Mrs Mervat. “The purpose of the ARKIS PTA is to support the school in achieving its vision, mission and values. Through the PTA development of closer connections between home and school by encouraging parental involvement. The PTA aims to improve the environment at ARKIS through volunteer activities and better support our students and our late Founder and Board of Trustees philosophy. A two- year tenure will comprise of a “special project” that the PTA will lead with the support of all parents to better the school and make part of their agreed plan.
