UNESCO proclaimed October 5 to be World Teachers’ Day in 1994. They chose October 5th because it was on this date in 1966 when a significant step was made for teachers in 1966. The point globally is centred around “acknowledging, evaluating and enhancing the instructors of the world” and to give a chance to consider the issues identified with educators and the teaching process in general. It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge; one child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world”.

Teacher’s Day at Abdulrahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) is centered around a celebration to honor the hard work and celebrate each teacher’s contribution and efforts.

As an appreciation from the secondary school students, the Seniors Committee have arranged a celebration for their teachers as a thank you to all teachers for always guiding them and bestowing them with all the teachings, moral values, and discipline, improving their personality, confidence, and skill level.
