World Teacher’s Day

Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School (ARKIS) acknowledged International Teachers Day on the 5th of October. Whilst remaining on remote learning and adhering to the Kingdoms Covid Guidelines, Ms. Kate Moskwa communicated to all staff about “taking a minute to reflect on what you do and the impact you have. We are preparing our learners of today to take their roles in society, tomorrow. We are so privileged to be able to do this job. Within teaching, some days are amazing and some more challenging, but please remember that you are part of the ARKIS family and that we are in this together.”

“The adaption to this ever-changing environment, that all staff within the school have faced this academic year, is a direct reflection on the remarkable resilience of the staff at ARKIS. Our core values of Excellence, Integrity and Service have never been so prominent, and we celebrate this International Day by thanking you all” noted Board of Trustees, Mr. Faisal Kanoo.

In a joint statement from Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, Guy Ryder, Director-General, International Labour Organization, Henrietta H. Fore, Executive Director, UNICEF, David Edwards, General Secretary, Education International on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2020: Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future. & quot; In this crisis, teachers have shown, as they have done so often, great leadership and innovation in ensuring that #LearningNeverStops, that no learner is left behind.
